Just over a month after inspiring Trinity’s victory at the Bradby Shield, Shaan Althaf was at it again, scoring a goal as Trinity defeated Royal 2-0 to win the J.R. Jayewardene Trophy in their annual football encounter at the Trinity College grounds.
Althaf and Uvan Vithanage scored as the hosts dominated Royal throughout the game. Vithanage was named Best Player, while Jasim Rizvi was awarded Best Goalkeeper.

In the U14 (A) match, Royal beat Trinity 2-0, while the U14 (B) match ended in a 0-0 draw. In the U16 (A) match, Trinity won 1-0, with Gesandu Rajapakshe of Trinity named Best Player. Royal won the U16 (B) match by the same scoreline. The U18 match ended in a 0-0 draw, and Amhar Faizal of Trinity received the Best Player award.
