Sri Lanka’s legendary fast bowler Lasith Malinga has been appointed as fast bowling consultant coach of the Sri Lanka team for the upcoming ODI & T20I series against Australia.
The veteran fast bowler worked with Sri Lanka national team as the fast-bowling consultant for the first time 5 months ago when Sri Lanka toured Australia for 5-match T20I series.
Malinga, who retired from international cricket in September last year, was recently roped by Rajasthan Royals, the runners-up of IPL 2022, as their fast-bowling coach.
Malinga’s vast experience in shorter formats of the game will be invaluable for the young Sri Lankan bowling setup who will take on the touring Australian side on a 3-match T20I series and 5-match ODI series starting from 07th June
