The 3rd day of the 2nd semifinal of the SLC Major Club Emerging 3-Day Tournament 2022 got washed out today (10th April) helping Sebastianites C & AC qualify for the final edging out a strong Colts CC outfit at the P. Sara Oval Stadium in Colombo.
A clinical bowling effort by the Sebastianites on day 2 had secured them the 1st innings win and it was only a matter of avoiding defeat for them to come out victorious in this all-important semifinal.
However, for Colts a late comeback on day 2 went in vain as the washout on day 3 deprived them of the opportunity to try and complete a coming from behind win after falling short of Sebastianites’ modest first innings score of 142 by just 29 runs.
Sebastianites C & AC will now meet Tamil Union C & AC in the final which is scheduled to begin on the 22nd of April at the SSC Grounds in Colombo.
