Sri Lanka cricket fans will be disappointed to know that their star batsman Mahela Jayawardane has received a back injury and is likely to miss out on the series in Bangladesh.
The injury is sustained in the disc area and it could be some time before he recovers. Jayawardane had indicated that there was something wrong with his back and it got worse on the field.
Jayawardane did not take the field on the final day of the third third test match against Pakistan in Sharjah.
