Lyceum International School, Wattala won the Lyceum Challenge Trophy for the Overall Champions for the 6th consecutive year at the Inter-International Schools’ Scrabble Championships held recently.
Lyceum International School, Nugegoda won the Lyceum Challenge Trophy for the Runners-up. Stafford International School, Leighton Park International School and Burhani Serendib School secured the 3rd, 4th and 5th positions, respectively. This event was organized by Lyceum Wattala for the 6th consecutive year. Mr. Wimal Fernando, President of the Sri Lanka Scrabble League (SLSL) was the Chief Guest and Mr Kandhan Mahendran, Treasurer of the SLSL was the Adjudicator.
Eleven schools, comprising of Alethea International School, Burhani Serendib School, College of World Education, Colombo International School, Elizabeth Moir School, Gateway College – Kandy, Leighton Park International School, LIS – Nugegoda and Wattala, Stafford International School, Regent International College participated in this tournament. A total of 43 teams comprising of 5 players each participated in 3 age categories, Junior, Intermediate and Senior.
