90th All Island John Tarbet Championship concluded yesterday after 4 days of back-to-back events.

W. Jayawi Ranhinda of Lyceum International School Panadura showed a quality performance in the shot put as he renewed the record of his event by a performance of 17.23m. Isuru Kaushalya of Ananda Sastralaya clocked 46.96 secs in under 20, 400m and walked away with a new meet record. S. Kalyanan of Chavakachcheri Hindu College, topped the list with a new meet record of 3.60m in Pole Vault.

Oshini Kodikara of St. Lawrence Convent Colombo showed an impressive performance of 11.64m in the triple jump and settled with a new meet record.

The relay team of Walala A. Rathnayake Central College broke the record of the women’s under 20 400*4 final. [Timing – 3.57.86 min]

Madushani Herath of Bibile Central College and Isuru Kaushalya of Ananda Sastralaya were awarded the best player in the women’s and men’s categories respectively.

Walala A. Rathnayake Central College was awarded the best overall performance in the women’s category and Lyceum International School, Wattala cliched the same title in the men’s category.
