The Lankan Cricket Club Cricket Academy will celebrate their 10th Anniversary with an Invitational Inter-Academy U-15 Cricket tournament, commencing 18th January 2014.
The 12 invited Cricket Academy’s were pooled into 04 groups, as follows.
Group “A” : Nugegoda “A”, RPC Foundation & Victory School CA
Group “B” : Ashan Cricket Academy, Roy Dias & SJW School of Cricket.
Group “C” – MCA, Lankan CA, & CCC.
Group “D” – Pelawatte, Torrington & Nugegoda “B”.
The Preliminary round games, consisting 12 matches of 10 over a side will be conducted on 18th January at Ananda Sastralaya grounds, Kotte and on 25th January at the Buddhadasa Stadium, Pelawatte.
At the completion of the group stage matches, the 04 group leaders will advance to the final round, to play the Semi-Finals, the Play-off for the 03rd place and the final on 26th January at the Buddhadasa Stadium, commencing 8.30 am.
The Coaches briefing and the official draw was held last week at the “Grid” Speedrome, Palawatte, 6.00pm, with the presence of Lankan CC Officials, Milanka Gunasekera, President & Head Coach, Bandula Dissanayake, Chairman/Tournament Committee, Asoka de Silva, Secretary, Sanjaya Perera, Treasurer, N.G. Dharmakeerthi, Member Organizing Committee & Aruna de Silva, Cricket Advisor.
