KIK Cola Super 16 Junior Rugby Carnival is a tournament already underway targeting the U 10 and 12 age groups run by a committee of old boys of the participating schools.
While KIK Cola is the main sponsor NDB Bank has come on as co-sponsors.
This year the tournament consists of 4 rounds. The first round was already played on the 15th February at Royal Complex. The remaining rounds are on the 1st March, 19th April, and 11th May and all the matches are to be played at Royal Complex.
Match format changed from 10 a side to 7’s and approximately 500 students are expected to get exposure in this series. Participating colleges for 2014 are,

Due to logistical issues Kandy schools not have been included.
However, the organizing committee decided not to play for trophies such as cup, plate & bowl categories and stick to the IRB guidelines which is the first stage of learning to play emphasis on safety, fun and skills. Therefore, the winning mentality and silverware is not much focused at this stage and instead the emphasis will be solely the development of skills and team work.
The match officials are nominated by the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Referees Union.
