Sri Lankan all-rounder Kamindu Mendis has been signed by Sylhet Strikers franchise to play in the Bangladesh Premier League 2023.
23-year-old Mendis will be playing in an overseas franchise-based T20 tournament for the first time in his career.
Mendis who has been a consistent performer in Sri Lankan domestic circuit in all formats, has played 13 matches for the national team (1 Test, 7 ODIs and 5 T20Is).
The 9th edition of Bangladesh Premier League will be held from 06th January to 16th February 2023. The 7-team competition will consist of a total of 46 matches which will be played in Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet.
