John Keells Holdings and TVS Lanka are set to take on each other in the final of the MCA “E” Division T20 League Tournament 2026.
The MCA “E” Division T20 League Tournament, contested for the glittering DPGC Challenge Trophy, is powered by the David Pieris Group of Companies for the 23rd consecutive year, making it the second longest-running partnership in MCA tournaments.
New Implementations for the Tournament
Initially, the tournament was conducted as a 30-overs-a-side competition. From 2018 to 2025, it was played as a 25-over tournament, and from 2026 onwards, it has been upgraded to the T20 format.

The tournament is conducted using the White Ball, with players attired in coloured clothing, and features live telecasting of all matches.
Participating Teams
The 13 participating teams were pooled into two groups as follows:
Group A:
Slim Pharmaceuticals (Pvt.) Ltd, HSBC “B”, Akbar Brothers, Morison PLC, National Development Bank PLC & C.W. Mackie PLC.
Group B:
TVS Lanka, South Asian Technologies, Hayleys Group “B”, Brandix Essentials, David Pieris Group of Companies “B”, Hemas Holdings PLC & John Keells Group.
Tournament Progress
The League Stage, consisting of 36 matches, commenced on 09th November and concluded on 13th December 2025. At the completion of the round-robin stage, the following eight teams qualified for the Quarter Finals:
Slim Pharmaceuticals, HSBC “B”, National Development Bank “A”, Akbar Brothers, TVS Lanka, South Asian Technologies, Hayleys Group “B” & John Keells Group.
Knock-out Stage
The second stage of the tournament, the Knock-out Stage, consisting of 07 matches, scheduled as follows:
- Quarter Finals: 14thDecember
- Semi Finals: 17thDecember
- Final: 21stDecember

At the previous tournament Final held on 08th February 2025 at the MCA Grounds, George Steuart Health emerged champions, lifting the “DPGC Challenge Trophy” after defeating Ceylinco General Insurance by 05 wickets.
