De Mazenod College marked a huge victory over St. Sebastian’s College today in an inter school cricket encounter which concluded at Mazenod grounds.
The host college which scored 220 runs yesterday managed to get the visitors all out in 81.4 overs for 201 runs. Sangeeth Cooray on his way to a century was removed for a score of 92 while Gayan Silva and Kusal Lakthilina scored 34 and 24 runs respectively. Sachintha Fonseka managed to protect himself scoring unbeaten 20 runs. Shanil Perera and Ruksan Fernando took 2 and 4 wickets respectively.
De Mazenod College dealt with 33 overs in their second innings to score 81 runs for a loss of 3 wickets when play ended. Romario Soysa scored 27 while Kawinda Manamperi was unbeaten on 27.
The match concluded on time making the hosts winners in the first innings.

Revatha College who won the toss asked the hosts to bat first and the decision backfired on them as Ananda scored 244 in 49.2 overs while all the players were beaten. Thamalaka Athulathmudali and Captain Thushara Samarakoon added 56 and 47 runs while Thaween Dhananjaya, Venuka Ashan and Isira Laksanka contributed by 30, 29 and 24 runs respectively. Muthumalda Silva along with Dilshan De Soysa sent off 4 and 3 wickets respectively.
Revatha College faced 38 durable overs to score 107 for a loss of 8 wickets. Sasalanka Mendis and Lakmal de Silva scored 38 and 21 runs respectively while Ishan Bandaranayake and Shammu Ashan chipped in with 3 wickets each.
