The annual Rugby Extravaganza organised by Hisham Abdeen Rugby Football Academy will be worked out on 5th & 6th September 2015 at the Havelocks Sports Club Grounds, for the sixth consecutive year.
It has become a fixed rugby tamasha in the national rugby calender and a much looked forward to event specially by the younger segment of players, with over 600 schoolboys from leading schools in Colombo and Rugby Acadamies of Colombo and Kandy taking part in exhibition and tournaments ranging from U-08 to U-20.
The schools and Rugby Academies participating in this year’s tournament are Science College, Ananda College, Thurstan College, St. Thomas’ Prep, Mahanama College, Dharmapala College, St. Benedict’s College, Veluwana College, Royal Junior Academy, Kandy Rugby Academy, Synergy Rugby Academy, Sharp Rugby Academy Black Hawks and hosts HARFA.
This year too, an open 10 a side and over 35 “Evergreens” 7 a side tag rugby tournaments has been included. No ‘A’ division players are permitted to play in the Open category. (12 teams in the open category and 6 teams Over 35).

The tournament has been partly sponsored by Mr. Jan Vlaskamp, Director Delta Aviation and also Patron of HARFA. Mr. Vlaskamp has been a generous supporter and benefactor of “HARFA” since its launch six years ago,and has played a major part in the continued success of this event.
