Led by a virtuoso performance by Graham Ebernizer Super Sun dominated Crystal Palace in a comprehensive 4-0 win at Longden Place.
They scored their first goal in the 12th miniute as right extreme Nuwan Priyankara crossed the ball towards the penalty area which was controlled perfectly by the star of the match Grahan Ebernizer who smashed the ball to the back of the net.
After that first goal the match was dragged along with not much chances created by either side. Two midfielders Silmy Hassan and Bonsu Kwabena of Super Sun played a vital role in keeping the Crystal Palace players out of their territory.
First half was dominated by Super Sun but the score line did not do any justice to the dominance.
The boys from Gampola came out with more energy in the second half as they were rushing with the ball. Just as it looked as if they were back in the game Super sun scored their second goal.
Captain of Super Sun E.B.Channa deceived all the defenders and passed the ball towards Graham who easily managed to find the back of the net for the second time.
Crystal Palace tried their best to pierce through the midfield but Super Sun players were upto it and they didn’t have any blind spot which the opposing team could exploit.
The closest they got was when Isaac Aba got through the defenders and crossed the ball towards the penalty box but was missed by the captain Jesuraj Bernard. They knew that was the only chance they had to make the score line look better.
After that one mistake Super Sun took off and started attacking. At the 61st minute they scored their third goal as Nuwan Priyankara crossed the ball which was missed by the goal keeper and it was easy pickings for the captain of Super Sun E.B.Channa who found the back of the net.
Just after two minutes they scored their fourth goal. This time it was special because it was the hatrick goal for Graham Ebernizer which was once again assisted by Nuwan Priyankara. Match ended with 4 goals to Nil Super Sun dominating the proceedings.
At the end of the match captain of Super Sun E.B.Channa stated that he was really happy with his teams performance and he wish to continue this good form in the future as well.
