Former Sri Lanka Test cricketer Jayananda Warnaweera has passed away at the age of 64.
Warnaweera, a right-arm off-spinner, represented Sri Lanka in 10 Test matches and six One-Day Internationals between 1986 and 1994. Known for his accuracy and ability to extract turn on subcontinental surfaces, he was a consistent performer in the domestic circuit and a respected figure in Sri Lankan cricket.

Following his playing career, Warnaweera made a lasting impact as a curator and cricket administrator, most notably serving as the curator of the Galle International Stadium, one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic cricket venues.
