CDB ‘A’ secured their place in the final of the Singer-MCA Super Premier T20 League 2025 with an emphatic victory over Fairfirst Insurance ‘A’ in the second semi-final held today (29th October) at MCA Grounds.
Asked to bat first, CDB ‘A’ posted a competitive total of 152 runs. Opening batter Pulindu Perera starred with a fluent 50 off 34 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 147.06.
Quick contributions came from Shevon Daniel and Sonal Dinusha, who scored 33 runs each, ensuring a solid platform for the team.
Fairfirst Insurance’s Thanuka Dabare was the standout with the ball, claiming 4 wickets for 28 runs. In their chase, Fairfirst Insurance crumbled under pressure, being bowled out for just 84 runs.
The left-arm spinner Muditha Lakshan wreaked havoc, tearing through the batting lineup with 5 wickets for only 12 runs, sealing a comprehensive win for CDB ‘A’.
