Holy Cross College, Kalutara emerged champions of the Under 19 Inter Schools Division Two Tier ‘A’ Limited Overs Cricket tournament as they defeated Lyceum International School, Wattala by 6 wickets in the final played yesterday (14th December) at BRC Grounds.
Holy Cross College, Kalutara won the toss and elected to field first and managed to restrict Lyceum International School, Wattala for a paltry score of 74 runs in 23.2 overs. Pasindu Wimansa was the star performer with the ball as he claimed 4 wickets for 16 runs.
It was a walk in the park victory for Holy Cross College as they chased down the target of 75 with 6 wickets in hand. Gayantha Nadeesha was the chief contributor with the bat as he made vital 26 runs for the victorious Holy Cross College.
