Mid way into the FA Cup some dreams of making it to the end have been quashed while other are going strong into the 4th round with a few hanging by the thread.
Group B
Diamonds SC demolished Young Kampans SC 7-1 in Vadamaarachchi while S.Joseph SC from Mannar prevailed 6-3 against Young Star SC in a high scoring thriller. There were also comfortable wins for Young Henricans SC, Vinmeen SC and Thikam Youth SC.
Group C
Two matches went all the way to penalties while Division I side Eastern Youth strolled to a comfortable 6-1 win against Holy Heroes SC.
One of the two matches which went to penalties was Lucky Star v Sun Rise SC. At full time it was 1-1 and in a shootout where there were misses and saves Sun Rise managed to win 2-1 in penalties. Disco SC and S.Ignatius SC finished 0-0 and S.Ignatius won a thrilling shootout 4-3. Rajarata Lions also won against Anuradhapura United SC 6-2.
Group D
Division I playing Hatton Renown SC were stretched to the limit by little known Bosconian SC but managed to win 4-1 on penalties after they finished nill all at full time.
Young Mates SC defeated Sabaragamuwa Uni 4-1 while Yound Birds SC won 4-0 against Young Eagles.
