Former St. Anthony’s College Skipper and Sri Lanka Sevens young gun, Dinuk Amarasinghe, has crossed over from CR & FC back to the park where he began his career, Havelock Sports Club.

Amarasinghe was in hot form playing at Centre for Havies for two years, before he moved over to CR last season where he had to work extra hard to find his rhythm. Amarasinghe couldn’t perform as expected for the Reds, struggling to replicate the form he enjoyed with the Havies, making it a tough year for the youngster. It was quite evident that CR’s slow playing pattern and Amarasinghe’s playing-on-the-edge style, didn’t make the best combination.

But fortunately for the former Anthonian, Havelock Sports Club allows the offloading, edgy type of play that suits the young centre best. He was among the top try scorers and key play makers in his time donning the pink jersey.

Expressing his thoughts on the move back to the Havies, Amarasinghe said,

“I’m delighted to be back home at Havelocks where I can once again play to my strengths and I hope with that form to give my best to the team”
