Batting all-rounder Dhananjaya De Silva will lead the Sri Lanka ‘A’ team against Australia ‘A’ in the two 50-over matches scheduled for 8th and 10th June at SSC Grounds, Colombo.

The 30-year-old De Silva who has represented Sri Lanka in all three formats (42 Tests, 56 ODIs & 23 T20Is) will lead a strong 15-member contingent which includes a few international players as well as some domestic stars.

Meanwhile, Kamindu Mendis will lead the 20-member Sri Lanka ‘A’ four-day squad which will take on Australia ‘A’ in the two four day games from 14th to 24th June in Hambantota.

The players who showed strong performances in the recently concluded National Super League, SLC Major Club Emerging League and Sri Lanka Emerging team’s tour of England, have earned call-ups for Sri Lanka ‘A’ squad.

Wicket-keeper batter Niroshan Dickwella and opening batter Oshada Fernando have also been named in the squad as the selectors expect the duo to regain their form in the 50-over format ahead of the five-match ODI series against Australia.

Australia ‘A’ team’s tour will begin on 08th June with the two 50 over games taking place first while two four-day games will be played from 14th June to 24th June.

The two 50 over games will be played at SSC Grounds in Colombo while 2 four-day games will be played at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.
