Newly promoted Saracens SC sprung the biggest upset of the season so far when they handed a shock defeat to the defending champions, Sinhalese Sports Club in a SLC Premier Limited Overs Tournament 2014/15 fixture.
SSC vs Saracens
Saracens produced their first win of the season with a giant-killing performance beating SSC by 5 wickets at their own grounds.
SSC batting first made only 146 as 23-year old fast-bowler Buddhika Sanjeewa ripped through the batting lineup with a 4-wicket haul. Umesh Karunarathne’s calm and composed half-ton ensured Saracens got over the line.

Chilaw Marians vs Bloomfield
Chilaw Marians posted the lowest score during the season when they were bundled out for 41 and lost the game by 9 wickets at Katunayake against Bloomfield.
The hosts batted for 23 overs to make their paltry score of 41 with Suraj Randiv capturing 4 wickets while Lahiru Madusanka grabbed 3 wickets. None of the batsmen reached double figures. Bloomfield reached the easiest of targets in the 12th over.

Moors vs Colts
All-rounder Chathuranga De Silva smashed a superb ton for Moors as they beat the high-riding Colts by 121 runs at Colts grounds.
The left-hander smashed 117 in 104 as the visitors made 299 for 5 in 50 overs. Colts managed only 178 all out with Kusal Janith (44) and Dilruwan Perera (43) making contributions.

NCC vs SL Air Force
Clinical NCC outfit recorded a comprehensive 133-run win over the Airmen at NCC grounds.
NCC posted a healthy 243 all out in their quota of 50 overs with their skipper Upul Tharanga top-scoring with 56. Air Force in their chase faulted badly as they were bowled out for 110 in the 38th over. Farveez Maharoof and Tharindu Kaushal took 3 wickets each.

CCC vs Ragama
Ragama toppled CCC by 6 wickets in a rain-affected 25-over encounter at Maitland Cresecent.
CCC managed to score 148 for 8 in 25 overs with skipper Hasantha Fernando making a valuable 31 while seamer Lahiru Jayarathne captured 3 wickets for the visitors. Left-handed duo of Lahiru Milantha and Udara Jayasundara steered Ragama home with 54 and 72 respectively.
