The new deadline for signing annual player contracts has been set as 6th June, as Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has extended the deadline following a discussion between the players and SLC.
The board had previously set 03rd June as the deadline for the players to sign the contracts, but they refused to do so, citing the fact that the contracts are unfair and not transparent.
Speaking to Daily News, a senior SLC official has mentioned that the 06th of June has been set as the deadline for the players to make their final decision.
“They have been given time until June 6th to finalize and come out with their decision to either agree to the present scheme, or to play for the other option, which will be based on each tour,” he said.
