The 4th fold of the most awaited “Dark Horse Super 6’s” annual six a side cricket tournament organized by the Qatar Chapter of the Old Boys Association of St. Sylvester’s College Kandy (SSCK OBA QATAR), is to be held on the 10th of November 2017 at the MIC cricket stadium, Masaieed, Qatar starting 7 am. A total of 16 prominent OBAs of Sri Lankan schools operating in Qatar will compete for the Dark Horse challenge trophy
The past tournaments organized by the OBA have earned the praise of many for setting high standards for others to follow. The excitement created around the venue has also made it a day-out for the whole family with music, kiddies play areas, give-aways and mascots of different brands entertaining the crowd.
The OBA Chapter in Qatar started in 2010 with a few members coming together to participate in tournaments organized by other fellow OBAs but was later officially inaugurated in 2011 under an executive committee. Since then the membership has tremendously grown towards the success.
The OBA also has been actively organizing many fund-raising projects to support the development of their Alma- Mater. It has donated a state of the art squash court complex to the college and are also the proud sponsors of the school’s cricket and cadet attire for the last few years, a few to mention.
The committee welcomes all Sri Lankans to come, enjoy and support their favourite teams on this day.
