Seven matches of the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Tier A Tournament continued around the island today(27).

BRC vs Colts

Colts stunned BRC to end the day well in control, after being bowled out for 231 earlier in the day. BRC who secured a 89 run first innings lead, crashed to 122 all-out in their second innings with Kavishka Anjula and Prabath Jayasuriya picking up four wickets apiece.

Colts in pursuit of 212 for an outright win, ended the day on 106/2 with Sangeeth Cooray making a useful 39.

SSC vs SLPACC

SSC had a cakewalk win as they finished the match inside two and a half days against a hapless Ports Authority unit.

Ports Authority struggled against Dasun Shanaka, Jeffrey Vandersay and Sachithra Senanayake once again, as the trio captured six wickets each in the match.

Yashoda Lanka made a sparkling half century for Ports Authority but couldn’t prevent his team going down by an innings and 82 runs.

Chilaw Marians are on the verge of another outright win after making 259/8 declared in their second innings to set Saracens SC 425 runs for victory.

Tharindu Rathnayake bowled an impressive spell to capture five wickets to secure a vital 17 run first innings lead for Moors SC. The ambidextrous Rathnayake troubled the Tamil Union batsmen with his guile and spin while Shiran Fernando captured four wickets.
