Tamil Union middle order batsman Kithruwan Vithanage blasted an unbeaten 273 off 228 balls in a superb batting effort on the opening day of the 5th week matches of the SLC Premier League Tournament 2014/15. 

 

Tamil Union vs SL Air Force 

Kithruwan’s magnificent double ton, Rumesh Buddhika’s splendid century and 239-run stand for the 4th wicket helped Tamil Union blast 530 against the Airmen on the opening day at Air Force grounds in Katunayake. 

Tamil Union – 530/6 in 90 overs: Kithruwan Vithanage 273*, Rumesh Buddika 105, Nisala Tharaka 68, Sohan Rangika 3/95. 

 

Badureliya vs Ragama

Gayan Sirisoma’s 4-wicket haul led an impressive bowling effort by the Badureliya bowlers to restrict the strong Ragama batting unit for 191 at Bloomfield grounds.

Sandun Weerakkody’s counterattacking 90-ball 108 helped NCC reach 338 against Colts at Havelock Town.
