The final round of matches in the SLC Premier League Tournament 2014/15 – Super Eight stage commenced on Thursday with the league deciding clash between NCC and SL Ports Authority being the most-looked forward to game of the weekend.
NCC vs SL Ports Authority
Off-spinner Tharindu Kaushal and left-arm spinner Sohan Boralessa wrecked through the SL Ports Authority batting lineup sharing 9 wickets to rattle them for 243 at P. Sara Oval grounds.
Kaushal picked up 5 wickets for 51 while his partner-in-crime, Boralessa gave away 63 runs for his 4 wickets.
SL Ports – 243 all out in 64.3 overs: Dhananjaya De Silva 57, Ashan Priyanjan 52, Isuru Udana 40, Tharindu Kaushal 4/51, Sohan Boralessa 4/63.

Ajantha Mendis and Lakshan Madusanka grabbed 3 wickets apiece as SL Army bowled out Bloomfield for 189 at Moors grounds.

Moors vs Tamil Union
Moors opener Oshada Fernando smashed 91 while Tamil Union off-spinner Ramith Rambukwella took a five-wicket haul in their 4-day match which commenced at CCC grounds.

Maduka Liyanapathiranage’s unbeaten 81 helped CCC take major honours after day one’s proceedings in their game against Badureliya CC at R. Premadasa Stadium.
