Sri Lanka suffered a 7-wicket defeat at the hands of India in their final group game of the 3rd T20 World Cup for the Blind played today (14th December) at Panjim Goa Grounds in Goa.

Having won the toss, Sri Lanka posted 137 runs for 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Ruwan Wasantha was the top scorer for Sri Lanka as he made 40 runs off 37 balls with 3 fours.

Sunil Ramesh and Ajay Kumar impressed with the ball for India snaring 2 wickets each. In their turn with the bat, India put on a dominant batting display, chasing down the target with ease in the 12th over with 7 wickets in hand.

Prakash Jayaramaiah played a match winning knock of 81 runs off 44 balls with 17 fours at a strike rate of 184.09 for the victorious Indian team.

With this win, India managed to top the points table registering 4 wins in 5 games with 13 points while Sri Lanka were placed 2nd position with 4 wins in 5 games accumulating 12 points.
