Sri Lanka beat Nepal to qualify for Semi-finals

Sri Lanka booked their place in tje Semi-finals of the 3rd T20 World Cup Cricket for the Blind, as they registered their 4th consecutive win defeating Nepal by 7 wickets today (13th December), at Altiore Sports Grounds in Bangalore. 

Due to the prevailing weather conditions, the match was reduced to a 15-over affair. After winning the toss, Sri Lanka opted to field first and restricted the opposition to just 87/7 in the allotted 15 overs.

Sri Lanka chased down the target of 88 runs quite comprehensively in the 8th over with 7 wickets in hand, and qualified for the Semi-finals of the tournament. Chandana Deshapriya played a match-match-winning hand, scoring an unbeaten 40 runs off 19 balls with 5 fours for the victorious Sri Lanka team.

This is Sri Lanka’s 4th consecutive win, which puts them on the top of the points table. The unbeaten Sri Lanka team will face India tomorrow (14th December) in their final first round game at Panjim Goa Grounds in Goa.
