Victorious Sri Lanka U19 cricket captain Charith Asalanka has been added to the Sri Lanka Development Squad for the remainder of their tour in Zimbabwe.
After the completion of the Sri Lanka Development XI vs South Africa Emerging XI – 2nd four-day match in Pretoria, the squad led by Rumesh Buddhika will travel to Zimbabwe to play one four-day match starting on Sunday against their development squad and three one-day matches on the 3rd, 5th and 7th of September.
Asalanka led Sri Lanka U19s to a historic win England where they won the three-match youth ODI series, 3-0 and two-match youth Test series, 1-0.
The Richmondite will replace the injured batting all-rounder Priyamal Perera in the squad.
