The annual water sports festival, organised by the Sapugaskanda Yoshida Swimming Academy, was held at the Sapugaskanda Yoshida swimming pool recently.
300 swimmers participated. The event was organised by the senior swimming instructor Thilak Ratna Kumara. Here, the winners of the ‘Diya Kidura Contest’, Dhampriya Jayathilake (Centre), 1st place winner from Gampaha Bandaranayake Vidyalaya, Chatura Kumaratunga (R), 1st runner-up, of Lumbini V., Colombo, and Nimesh Madushanka (L), 2nd runner-up, of Sapugaskanda Yoshida Shokanji Int’l School. On right are the winners of the ‘Diya Kinduriya Contest’, Navira Asanki Karunaratne (Centre), the 1st from Sapugaskanda Vishaka Balika V., Shavindi Nisansala Kumaratunga (R), 1st runner-up from Sapugaskanda Vishaka, and Kumuduni Nisansala (L), the 2nd runner-up, from Kelaniya Helena Wijayawardhana V.
