Captain Thisara stood out in all three formats to lead St. Anthony’s College to victory

Several other matches of the Inter-School First Class Cricket Tournament organized by the Sri Lanka School Cricket Association were held on the 20th of February. 

A number of players performed well in these matches. 

Thisara Ekanayake, captain of St. Anthony’s College, Kandy, scored a brilliant century and took five wickets in both the innings. 

Chamika Hinatigala of Mahanama College, Colombo displayed a five-wicket haul. 

For Richmond College, Galle, Sharon Abhishek took five wickets while Nikhil Jayaweera scored two half-centuries. 

After a first innings defeat against D.S. Senanayake College in Colombo, Malintha Silva, who encouraged St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa to go for a complete victory, took 12 wickets in the match with four wickets in the first innings and eight wickets in the second innings. 

For Ananda College, Colombo, Ashinsa Naynayake took six wickets in both innings. 

Although St. Anthony’s College, Wattala suffered an unfortunate defeat in the match against Isipathana College in Colombo, Amita Sandeepa of St. Anthony’s College Wattala scored 117 runs in two innings with one half-century and 12 wickets in total with two wickets and five wickets. 

Dulsath Nimveeru, who took 7 wickets for Aloysius College in Galle yesterday the 19th of February,  also showed a five-wicket haul today on 20th of february. 

Vishwa Dananjaya took 7 wickets for Thurstan College, Colombo.
