British School thump AIE in T20

The British School in Colombo beat the touring Auckland Institute of Excellence team from New Zealand, by a convincing margin of 102 runs in their Under-15 Twenty20 cricket match worked off at Thurstan College Grounds, recently.

The British School, electing to bat first after winning the toss, piled up a formidable 172 runs with dashing opening batsman Liam Shaugy scoring a 48 ball 99 inclusive of three sixes and 13 boundaries.

In reply, the visitors managed only 72 for seven wickets, with Salman Akbarally returning excellent figures of three wickets for 10 runs, well supported by Chanupa Jayasinghe and Hasan Sohil who captured one wicket each.
