Right handed bat Roy Silva struck a swashbuckling unbeaten 106 off 101 balls including six sixes and 11 boundaries and opener Amal Athulathmudali smashed 95 off 76 balls as CCC chased down 252 to win with ease against Kurunegala Youth n their Premier League cricket fixture  at the Welagedera Stadium in Kurunegala yesterday.

Dashing opener Athulathmudali was ruthless hitting a flurry of boundaries and sixes in his 76 balls innings and was well supported by Silva who was equally impressive with his fourth first class century. Athulathmudali had four sixes and seven boundaries.

Moors SC chase down 308

Opener Isham Ghouse aand Janaka Gunaratne hit unbeaten centuries as Moors SC chased down a mammoth 308 to win over Colts for the loss of four wickets in their Premier League cricket encounter continued at Havelock Park yesterday.

Chasing a the target Moors lost four wickets for 54 runs but an unfinished 5th wicket partnership of 259 between Ghouse and Gunaratne saw them easing to a six wicket win.

Ghouse anchored the innings with a tiring 235 ball 112 while Gunaratne smashed 155 off 201 balls with eleven sixes, including one that seal the win sharing a match winning partnership.

Udara Jayasundara smashes  222 for Ragama CC

Left handed bat Udara Jayasundara smashed his maiden double ton, 222 and involved with a record 333 runs partnership for the first wicket with Ian Daniel as Ragama CC drew its Premier League match against BRC at BRC grounds yesterday. At stumps BRC were 238 for six in their second innings.

Resuming from their overnight score of 309 for none, Ragama amassed 556 for 8 declared with Jayasundara and Daniel feasting a placid track. Dainel made 172 runs while Milinda Siriwardana hit 55.
