Bens in 1st innings win over Seba

St. Benedict’s College managed to secure a first innings win over St. Sebastian’s College today in Moratuwa a short while ago.

 

Bens continuing from their overnight score of 41 runs for the loss of a wicket managed to end their first innings on 202 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Sameera Sandamal was the top scorer for the visitors with a fine score of 87 runs while he was given good support from V. Jayathilake who scored 28 runs. For the home team Nimesh Fernando and Anushka Perera ended with 2 wickets each. 

St. Sebastian’s College in their 2nd innings were 48 runs for the loss of 4 wickets at the close of play with Sangeeth Cooray unbeaten on 17* runs while Kusal Edussuriya ended on 16 runs. The bowling was spearheaded by Chandana Jayasanka who ended with fitures of 2/7.
