Alethea International School emerged as winners at the recently held All-Island U-15 Doubles Badminton Championship held from 18th to 23rd June 2014 at the Maliyadeva Indoor Badminton Stadium, Kurunegala.
The Champion Alethean team competed in the “E” division and they defeated Chandrananda Vidyalaya, Kandy at the finals 3-2 sets.
The team defeated Sumedha Vidyalaya, Gampaha at the semifinals at 3-2
The winning team consisted of Avindu Rakshitha (Captain) Thilina Ileperuma, Pulashti Wijerathne, Tajith P Wickramaratne, Chamod Fernando, Ruvinthaka Vithanage, Manidu Thanipuliarachchi, Dulash Fernando, Kalana Gimhana, Sevin Peiris, Janidu Amarabandu, Malintha Bandara.
In the categories of Super A to A, B, C, D, and E, Alethea continues to shine in the field of Badminton.
