The strike bowler anyway was not scheduled to be available for the opening match against Bangladesh tomorrow (15th of September).
He will most probably be up for selection for Sri Lanka’s second match against Afghanistan on the 17th of September.

Prior to the tournament, it was confirmed that Akila will miss the first leg of the tournament.
