Bloomfield Cricket & Athletic Club and Burgher Recreation Club have secured their places in the Final of the SLC U23 Inter-Club 2-Day Tournament 2026 after claiming crucial first innings points in their respective drawn Semi Final encounters.
Bloomfield C & AC advanced to the title clash after earning first innings honours against Kurunegala Youth Cricket Club in their Semi Final played at Maggona.

Mineth Premarathna was the standout performer with the bat for Bloomfield, producing a magnificent century in the first innings before following it up with a valuable half-century in the second innings. Tharinda Nirmal Guruge starred with the ball, claiming an impressive six-wicket haul to put Bloomfield in a commanding position and help his side secure first innings points.
In the other Semi Final, BRC also progressed to the Final after claiming first innings points against Moors Sports Club in another drawn contest.
Linal Subasinghe led the batting effort with a superb century, while Sithuka Gunawardana delivered an outstanding spell to claim a five-wicket haul as BRC dominated the encounter and sealed their place in the championship decider.
