Nalanda College, Colombo registered a comfortable win over Ananda College, Colombo to clinch the 49th Annual Limited Overs Encounter between the sides played at SSC Grounds, Colombo.
Having won the toss, Nalanda College opted to bat first and managed to post a solid total of 261 runs on the board, thanks to impressive half-centuries from middle-order batters Nemindu Akmeemana and Ranmith Dinuwara.

Akmeemana played a dominant knock of 79 runs off 73 deliveries, striking 10 fours and a six, while Dinuwara anchored the innings with a well-compiled 78 runs off 104 balls, which included 7 fours and 3 sixes.
For Ananda College, Dasith Batugahage and Sharada Jayarathne were the most successful bowlers, claiming two wickets each.
In reply, Ananda College could only muster 208 runs, falling short of the target despite a valiant effort from opening batter Danindu Sellapperuma.
