The Major Club 3-Day League 2025/26, organized by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), is set to commence on 28th November, marking the start of yet another exciting domestic red-ball season. This year’s edition will feature 14 top-tier clubs, all competing for supremacy in Sri Lanka’s premier long-format competition.
The tournament will follow a round-robin format, where each team will play against every other opponent within their respective group. Following the completion of group-stage fixtures, the top team from Group A and the top team from Group B will advance to the grand final, which will determine the champions for the 2025/26 season.
Last year, Bloomfield Cricket & Athletic Club clinched the title, putting on a dominant performance in the final to defeat Nondescripts Cricket Club (NCC). Bloomfield’s triumph marked a significant highlight in the club’s rich cricketing history, and they will enter this year’s tournament with strong momentum and renewed confidence.
With seasoned campaigners, rising stars, and historic rivalries all returning to the fold, the upcoming Major Club 3-Day League promises to deliver high-quality cricket, competitive matchups, and memorable performances as teams vie for domestic glory.
