Seven matches in the Singer Schools ‘Under 19 Division 1’ Two Day Cricket Tournament 2019/20 were conducted today (06).
St Thomas College cruised past over Ambalagoda Dharmasoka College as they managed to bowl out the opposition for 134 and 128 respectively in both innings, securing a victory by innings and 48 runs.
Thomian heist was eased by the all-rounder Dilmin Ratnayaka, who registered a match haul of 6 wickets while adding 48 runs with the bat.
Meanwhile, at their home ground, the Anandians were humiliated by Trinity boys who managed to add another outright victory to their points table.

Usual suspects, Ruwin Peries and Abhishek Anandakumar contributed with the ball for Trinity while Thewin Amarasinghe set up the win in the 2nd innings with a composed 88.
Another outright victory was achieved by Mahinadians over Maris Stella College on this busy Thursday as the boys from south raced onto a 4 wicket win at sunset of the 2nd day of the game.
Kushan Madusha was the star of the day because of his 7-fer, which restricted Maris Stella 2nd innings to 103, setting Mahinda College a comfortable chase of 106 which they reached 6 wickets down.
The only game of today to conclude as a drawn contest was between Gurukula College and St Sylvester College where the former missed an outright win by a whisker.
Gurukula College was found needing another 3 wickets for the victory as the light faded on day 2 though Shashila Basnayake of St Sylvester College grabbed the attention with an impressive 8-fer in the 1st innings of the match
