Ten games of the Milo fifteen a side under 18 inter schools rugby tournament was scheduled to be played at St. Peter’s College ground Bambalapitiya.
10 games were scheduled to be played but only 6 games took place due to a few teams not been present on the day. Science College, St. Joseph’s, St. Peter’s and Prince of Wales were the teams that got walk overs due to their opposition not being present.
In the games that took place D.S. Senanayaka College 24 (4T, 2C) prevailed over St. John’s College 11 (1T, 2 P). Game two saw Isipathana College beat Royal Panadura 49-09.
S. Thomas Mount Lavinia thumped helpless Vidyaloka Galla. The superior Thomians kept Vidyaloka scoreless in the process (STC 46 beat Vidyaloka 00). The next game saw Lalith Athulathmudhali beat Moratu Vidyalaya 34 (6T, 2C); Moratu Vidyalaya was held scoreless in the game.
Wesley College beat P. Rathana Padukka 57 (9T, 6C) (School Name)where the minnow school was held scoreless. In the final game Thurstan College was shocked by Piliyandala Maha Vidyalaya as Piliyandala Maha Vidyalaya prevailed over Thurstan 17 (3T, 1C) – 5 (1T).
