Negombo CC vs Police SC

Shehan Jayasuriya’s 71 runs guided Negombo CC to a thrilling one run victory.

Jayasuriya’s knock lifted Negombo to 165/7, before they restricted Police SC to 164/9 with Malinga Maligaspe hitting a half century.

Upul Indrasiri starred with ball for the winners picking up 3/29 while Sandakan Pathirana chipped in with two wickets.

Harsha Cooray’s half century stunned CCC, as they went down by 16 runs against dark horses Chilaw Marians.

Cooray’s 59 led Chilaw to 168/8, while Yashoda Lanka also chipped in with 34.

Malinda Pushpakumara once again was among the wickets as he captured 4/13 to take his wicket tally to 14 wickets in the just 4 games.

CCC continued to lose wickets in their run chase as they folded up for 152 with the wickets being shared among the bowlers.

A staggering 93 runs from Buddhika led BRC to a competitive 187/5, but Tamil Union’s brilliant run chase meant they got home with 7 balls to spare.
