Out of the 8 quarter-finalists, the performance of Panadura Sports Club, which is one of the division II clubs in the 24-club event, is impressive, as they have beaten Bloomfield, BRC and Galle SC on their way to the quarterfinals.

The usual suspects in division I, SSC, NCC, CCC, and Ragama SC have all secured a knockout spot for themselves while Moors SC and Saracens SC will be eyeing another podium finish this season.

Army Sports Club will be the dark horses as they triumphed over all the other five teams in their group including the likes of Ragama CC and Chilaw Marians.

The highest run-scorer in the tournament is an Indian, Gitansh Khera of Police Sports Club, who has compiled 318 runs in 5 matches. Nishan Peiris of Ragama SC leads the wicket taker’s list with a staggering 18 wickets. However, Sachithra Senanayake from SSC has been the MVP of the tournament so far with 310 runs and 14 wickets to his name.

SSC vs Ragama at P Sara ground and NCC vs CCC at Katunayake will be closely contested as many Sri Lanka team discards like Dilshan Munaweera, Ashan Priyanjan, and Dinesh Chandimal are playing in those four teams, looking for a national call back with the World Cup looming ahead.

All four quarter-finals will be held on the 15th of March in Colombo.
