Emerging Asia Cup to commence in June

The Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup (T20) is set to begin on the 12th of June in Hong Kong, with the participation of 8 teams from the region.

The A teams from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Thailand will feature in the tournament alongside full teams from Malaysia, UAE and Hong Kong. The tournament will feature 8 days of competition, with 15 tournament games as well as an exhibition game – all 8 days will be double-headers.

The 8 sides have been divided into two groups, with India A, Pakistan A, Thailand A and hosts Hong Kong making up Group A, while Sri Lanka A, Bangladesh A, UAE and Malaysia battle it out in Group B. The top 2 sides from each of the groups will progress to the semi-finals, set to be held on the 19th of June; the final will be on the 21st of June.
