Right-arm leg spinner Jeffrey Vandersay has been picked to replace injured Lasith Malinga for the remainder of the ICC World T20 2016 in India. Vandersay had been one of the two players who were withdrawn from the squad, 24 hours before the team left to India. The veteran fast-bowler returned to Sri Lanka yesterday after having failed to recover from a knee injury.
Vandersay, has played four T20Is and three ODIs for the national side thus far, will join fellow spinners Rangana Herath and Sachitra Senenayake in the line-up.
