The U23 Emerging Club Cricket Tournament 2025 delivered another action-packed day of cricket, with ten gripping matches played across various venues in Sri Lanka.
At Panadura Esplanade, United Southern Sports Club clinched a dramatic 3-wicket victory over Ace Capital Cricket Club. The hero of the match was Sasanka Nirmal, whose extraordinary match haul of 10 wickets for just 41 runs dismantled Ace Capital’s batting lineup.

Two batters stole the spotlight with scintillating centuries. Bloomfield Cricket & Athletic Club’s Asitha Wanninayake smashed an impressive 123 runs against Kurunegala Youth Cricket Club, anchoring his team’s innings with flair and precision.
Meanwhile, Themira Kumarage of Sinhalese Sports Club played a match-defining knock of 102 runs against Galle Cricket Club, showcasing his ability to dominate the bowling attack.
The day belonged equally to the bowlers, with several players delivering standout performances. Dimath Abeysinghe of Burgher Recreation Club and Thimira Irushika of Chilaw Marians Cricket Club led the charge, each claiming 6 wickets in their respective matches.
