Richmond College, Galle registered a comfortable win over St. Joseph’s College, Colombo in a low-scoring Tier ‘A’ encounter of the Under-19 Division 1 Limited Overs Tournament 2025/26 played today (7th October) at St. Joseph’s College Grounds, Colombo.  

After winning the toss, Richmond College opted to bat first but could only post 179 runs on the board. The highlight of their innings was a dominant half-century by middle-order batter Tenusha Nimsara, who scored 53 runs off 64 deliveries, including 2 fours and 3 sixes. 

The Josephian bowlers kept things tight, with Vishwa Peiris and Demion De Silva sharing honours by picking up three wickets each, restricting Richmond’s total below the 200-mark. 

In reply, St. Joseph’s College faltered in their chase, managing to score only 108 runs. The Richmond bowlers maintained consistent pressure throughout the innings. Thenura Dias was the standout performer, claiming 3 wickets for 41 runs, while the rest of the attack chipped in with valuable contributions to seal a convincing victory.
