The Sri Lanka Schools’ Football Association (SLSFA) confirmed the three walkover results in the U19 Division I Championship.

Royal College

Royal College enjoyed a good season in their first year back in the A division registering 8 points which came courtesy of 2 wins and 2 draws.

Draws against St. Peter’s and Holy Cross along with wins against Ananda and Lumbini ensured that the Royalists gave a good account of themselves to finish in 4th place.

The key player for Royal was their talisman and Java Lane star Naveen Jude who netted a couple of goals in the group stage.

St. Peter’s College

The Peterites proved themselves to be a tough team to beat, despite not enjoying the form or results they had a couple of years ago.

Conceded just 6 goals but suffered 3 narrow defeats. They are on 4 points with a game in hand to decide the 5th/6th places that will be played against Lumbini.

Lumbini College

Lumbini endured a rather disappointing season winning only 1 game against Ananda, but have the chance to add to their tally of 3 points when they play St. Peter’s on the 19th.

They were on the receiving end of heavy defeats when they played Zahira (5-0) and the Hameedians (6-1) as they struggled to make a big impact on the group.

Ananda College

A season to forget for Ananda who was found to be well out of their depth ending up last in group B without a point.

Failed to score a goal all season and conceded 27 goals which was the most in the division and will find themselves relegated to Division II next season
