Sri Lanka Cricket made some critical changes in the coaching staff of the Sri Lanka Men’s Cricket Team for the Zimbabwe white-ball series.
Thilina Kandamby, an experienced figure in cricket, assumes the role of batting coach for the Zimbabwe series, bringing a wealth of expertise. His success as the head coach of the Jaffna franchise in the Lanka Premier League—guiding them to three titles—and prior work as a specialist coach for the Sri Lanka National Team during the New Zealand series earlier this year, underscore his capabilities.

Joining him is Upul Chandana, a former Sri Lankan cricketer, taking charge as the fielding coach. Meanwhile, Naveed Nawaz continues as the Assistant Coach, maintaining his valuable role within the team. Due to personal reasons, Anton Roux, the former Fielding Coach, will have a limited involvement following Grant Luden’s resignation.
Additionally, Dilshan Fonseka has been re-appointed as the trainer for the Sri Lanka Men’s National Team, further bolstering the coaching staff.
