St. Peter’s College took on Joseph Vas College today in an inter school under 19 cricket tournament at the St. Peter’s ground.
St. Peter’s College elected to bat first and scored a substantial 286 runs while in 67 overs in the first innings. Jalith Liyanage and Shasheen Fernando notched up half centuries scoring 77 and 67 runs respectively. Skipper Dushan Hemantha was beaten by his counterparts for 46 valuable runs.
For Joseph Vas College Kasun Vidura took 3 wickets for 57 runs.
Joseph Vas College responded by 118 runs for a loss of 4 wickets in 32 overs. Kasun Vidura was brilliant in batting as well as batting scoring an unbeaten 67 runs.
