Sri Lanka Women secured the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh Women with a commanding 21-run victory in the second T20I, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead with one game remaining in the series.
After being asked to bat first, Sri Lanka produced an impressive batting display to post 154 for 4 in their allotted 20 overs. The visitors were guided by crucial knocks from Harshitha Samarawickrama and skipper Chamari Athapaththu.

Samarawickrama continued her fine form with a brisk 49 runs off just 29 deliveries, striking four boundaries and two sixes to provide Sri Lanka with momentum during the middle overs. Captain Athapaththu also made a valuable contribution, scoring 42 runs off 37 balls with the help of six fours.
In response, Bangladesh Women struggled to keep up with the required run rate despite a few promising partnerships. The hosts eventually managed only 133 for 5 in their 20 overs, falling 21 runs short of the target.
Sri Lanka’s bowlers maintained disciplined lines throughout the innings, with off-spinner Kavisha Dilhari emerging as the standout performer. Dilhari delivered an economical spell, claiming 2 wickets for just 15 runs in her four overs to put Bangladesh under pressure.
